A final project for a Digital Foundations course was to design something speculative, or could potentially exist in a slightly altered version of our current reality or a projected future. I utilized Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to build a brand, corresponding advertising mockups, and product mockups that could exist in a hyperbolic version of modern day. The brand created is CO2, or Chill Out, a medicinal, relaxation-focused line of products marketed to Gen Z in times of extreme climate anxiety. Chill Out’s branding is meant to evoke a tongue-in-cheek yet aesthetically pleasing sense of calm in pursuit of freedom from the burden of social and cultural woes, specifically those associated with the climate crisis.
